LIFE AS CHRISTIANS Life is Oriented Toward Eternal Life Earthly life is temporary, and our ultimate goal is eternal life with God (John 3:16, Philippians 3:20-21). The Church encourages us to live a life of holiness, charity, and faith in preparation for heaven (Matthew 5:48). Life in Christ Through Jesus Christ, we receive the fullness of life (John 10:10). The sacraments, prayer, and moral teachings of the Church guide us to live according to God's plan. The Dignity of Human Life Every person, regardless of age, ability, or status, has equal dignity because they are made in God's image (CCC 1700). The Church opposes actions that violate human dignity, such as abortion, euthanasia, and unjust discrimination. As Christians, knowing the meaning of life helps us live with purpose, direction, and hope. Life is Oriented Toward Eternal Life Earthly life is temporary, and our ultimate goal is eternal life with God (John 3:16, Philippians 3:20-21). The Church encourages us to live a life of holiness, charity, and faith in preparation for heaven (Matthew 5:48) Life as a Gift from God The Church teaches that all life comes from God, who is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1:27. Psalm 139:13-16). Human life is sacred from conception to natural death (Catechism of the Catholic Church, CCC 2258). The Catholic Church defines life as a sacred gift from God, with inherent dignity and purpose. This 12 understanding is rooted in Scripture, Tradition, and the teachings of the Church. “Table of Hope" Joey Velasco This is a modern-day depiction of the reality in Philippine society.
