Ethically if a patient refuses medicine, you will try to advise them of the risks and benefits but know that it's ultimately their choice. However, some of the situations listed above pose a deeper look. Legally a Physician is required by licenses and code of ethics to provide the best care possible to their patients. If a patient is in any of these situations what is the provider to do ? Abortion Ethical- My body. My choice. Legal ▪ Ethically a woman should have the choice to either carry or terminate a pregnancy within ▪ In the United States the government has allowed her own body. There are many factors that each state to decide for themselves whether would bring a woman to have to make the abortion is legal, or illegal.
