Erbitux Trade name & manufacturer: Erbitux is the trade name for cetuximab (Generic Name), a monoclonal antibody medication used for the treatment of certain types of cancer. Erbitux (cetuximab) is manufactured by Eli Lilly and Company, a global pharmaceutical company. Initially approval in 2004. Composition and nature of the preparation: Human/mouse chimeric monoclonal antibody recombinant. Indication: ERBITUX is prescribed for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) ERBITUX, used together with radiation therapy (RT), is prescribed for the first-line treatment of locally or regionally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN). Contra-indication: 1. Hypersensitivity: Erbitux is inappropriate for individuals with confirmed hypersensitivity or severe allergic reactions to cetuximab or any of its components. 2. Infusion Reactions: Erbitux should be avoided in patients with a history of severe infusion reactions to cetuximab due to the potential for such reactions. Storage: Storage Conditions: Erbitux should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature between 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze Erbitux.
