I. Comprehension Passage: The scientist Marie Curie is widely recognised for her groundbreaking work in the field of radioactivity. Born in Poland, she moved to France to continue her education and research. Together with her husband, Pierre Curie, she discovered two elements, polonium and radium, which led to the development of important medical treatments. Despite facing significant challenges as a woman in a male-dominated field, she became the first woman to win the Nobel Prize, not once, but twice, in both Physics and Chemistry.
