Our goals will always be focused on learning to read and write critically in order to lay a strong foundation for future studies. We will be pairing the myPerspectives program with novels in order to achieve these goals. Additionally, this course will follow the New Jersey state standards for English and Language Arts. If your phone is getting in the way of your learning and my teaching, you will be required to place your phone in the phone “jail” up on the wall for the period. Defiance of this policy will result in discipline. EXTRA CREDIT If you volunteer to put your phone in the “jail” for the period, you will earn extra credit towards your grade.
