EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING Technologies whose development, practical applications, or both are still largely unrealized, such that they are symbolically emerging into prominence from a background of non- existence or obscurity. EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES Emerging technologies include a variety of technologies such as Educational technology Information technology Nanotechnology Biotechnology Cognitive science Robotics Artificial Intelligence It is the term given to those areas of science and engineering where phenomena that take place at dimensions in the nanometer scale are utilized in the design, characterization, production and application of materials, structures, devices and systems. NANOTECHNOLOGY It is a broad area of biology, involving the use of living systems and organisms to develop or make products. Depending on the tools and applications, it often overlaps with related scientific fields. BIOTECHNOLOGY 5G Technology Internet of TOP 10 Behaviors (IoB) TRENDING DevSecOps TECHNOLOGIES Intelligent Process Automation(IPA) Tactile VR Big Data Analytics Human Augmentation TOP 10 TRENDING Everything-as-a- Service(XaaS) TECHNOLOGIES Cybersecurity Artificial Intelligence(AI) 1. 5G Technology The next generation of cellular networks and services. It is expected to provide at least 20GBPS downlink an d 10GBPS uplink, which will make the 5G network to be at least 40 times faster than current 4G LTE. The collection and use of data to drive behaviors is called the Internet of Behaviors (IoB). An example of it is industrial sites having employed computer vision to determine if employees were complying with mask protocol and then collecting this behavioral data to be analyzed by the organizations to influence people to follow government protocols at work. 2. Internet of Behaviors (IoB) 3. DevSecOps It is short for development, security and operations. Its objective is implementing security at the same scale and speed as development and operations and not just for the sake of it. With the wider adoption of Microservices, DevSecOps seems to find its way deeper into our DevOps market. DevOps VS. DevSecOps Robotic Process Automation is basically the idea that ‘Anything that can be automated, should be automated’. This year, we’ve discovered something even more fascinating – Intelligent Process Automation. IPA, in a nutshell, allows bots to benefit from the abilities of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Machine Learning, meaning they can 4. Intelligent learn and improve over time. Process Automation 5.Tactile Virtual Reality Innovative technologies offer more immersive experiences like AR and VR. Virtual Reality immerses the user in a simulated environment, Augmented Reality is an overlay of technology in the real world. CISCO forecasts that globally, AR-VR traffic will increase 12- fold by 2022 in all fields of entertainment. Big Data Analytics has been there in the market for quite some time now. More and more businesses are adopting it to go beyond the traditional ways of data storage and processing. New trends such as X- Analytics are being used to find solutions to challenges, including climate change, disease prevention and wildlife 6. Big Data Analytics protection. 7. Human Augmentation Humans have continually experimented with technology to enhance life as they know it. This curiosity has now entered another territory – Human Augmentation which basically means taking the help of technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, to not only enhance our daily lives but also to take human intelligence to the next level. Everything-as-a-Service (XaaS) is a cloud computing term for the extensive variety of services and applications emerging for users to access on- demand over the Internet as opposed to being utilized via on- premises means. Security-as-a- Service Database-as-a-Service 8. Everything-as-a- Service(XaaS) 9. CyberSecurity With so many organizations undergoing huge digital transformations, awareness of the ongoing looming presence of cyberattacks continues to grow – not only for large organizations but also for small businesses. Now, Cybersecurity is nothing new, but its trends are! A robust Artificial Intelligence implementation will facilitate the performance, scalability, and reliability while delivering the complete return on investments. But AI projects often face certain issues which makes them a challenge for most organizations. But there are new solutions fashioned to face these problems. 10. Artificial Intelligence 10. JavaScript 10. Go Many people are aware of Go, a programming language created by Google. Go has quickly attracted interest from all across the world because of its capacity to manage multicore, networked systems, and large codebases. Golang is among the finest programming languages for salaries and prospects, which is no surprise. 9. Kotlin The open-source programming language Kotlin is really popular right now. Because of features like support for lambda functions, smart casts, null safety, and operator overloading, businesses like Netflix, Pinterest, and Amazon Web Services adopt this language. 8. Swift Swift is a relatively new programming language, but because of its speed, performance, and security, it is in the top 10 best programming languages for profits and prospects. Swift is also a simple language to learn. 7. R R is a programming language for statistical computing and graphics that you can use to clean, analyze, and graph your data. It is widely used by researchers from diverse disciplines to estimate and display results and by teachers of statistics and research methods 6. C# One of the primary factors contributing to C# popularity is the language’s inherent capacity to accommodate object-oriented programming principles. C# is among the top 10 greatest programming languages for prospects and profits since it is seen to be perfect for Windows, Android, and iOS apps. 5. PHP It has become more common to construct healthcare applications with PHP. Mobile applications, the majority of which are based on iOS and Android, are created using PHP and its coding skills. 4. C++ With features like data abstraction, polymorphism, inheritance, etc., you can be sure that C++ offers all you need for a successful programming career and decent pay. This language is frequently used to create desktop applications, GUI applications, 3D games, and real-time mathematical answers. 3. Java Java is yet another fantastic programming language to master for big data, web development, and application development. The Oracle Corporation owns this general- purpose programming language, which has an object- oriented architecture. 2. Python Python is frequently used for creating websites and applications, automating repetitive tasks, and analyzing and displaying data. Python has been used by many non- programmers, including accountants and scientists, for a range of routine activities including managing finances since it is very simple to learn. 1. JavaScript Programmers all around the globe use JavaScript to make dynamic and interactive online apps and browsers. With 97% of all websites using, it as a client-side programming language, JavaScript is the most widely used programming language in the world. 1. Body Adapted wearable Electronics 2.
