The Romantic Hero seeks truth and solitude in nature and pursues a high & lofty goal. Byronic Hero: The Bryonic Hero distrusts humanity and is often haunted by a dark memory or secret from the past.  Gothic literature  Lord Byron -The Sublime: Edmund Burke’s ‘Philosophical Enquiry’  nature is the most sublime object. It generates the strongest emotional sensation. (sublime is connected with the experience of awe, terror, and danger). Sublime: a feeling associated with strong emotions in front of intense natural phenomena. Natural experiences give us a humbling experience of the wonder and majesty of the natural world.
