Types of dementia Alzheimer's Disease Parkinson's Disease with Dementia Vascular Dementia Fronto-temporal Dementia (PICKS) Lewy Bodies Korsakoff's Syndrome Etiology Significant loss of neurons and volume in brain Neurofibrillary angles (twisted nerve cell fibers) Environmental factors: infection, metals and toxins.
