Support Services Counseling Services - Office of the Student Affairs 2 As an institution of higher learning, the Cavite State University caters to the needs of students, not only in the acquisition of education but also in their personality development. To ensure that the students’ potentials for advancement are maximized, the Student Welfare Services was established. The Student Welfare Services had been renamed Office of Student Affairs (OSA). It is a major project under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. OSA GOALS 3 The goals of the Office of Student Affairs are the following: to look after the educational, vocational, as well as the personal development need of the students; to assist the students to maximize their potentials by helping them understand themselves and their environment and to enhance their psychological growth towards socialized maturity. OSA OBJECTIVES 4 The objectives of the Office of Student Affairs are the following: Provide counseling and testing to students so that they may recognize and accept themselves and develop their potentials/capabilities; provide information, training, placement and follow-up services to students, graduates and other clienteles; OSA OBJECTIVES 5 The objectives of the Office of Student Affairs are the following: provide financial assistance to the needy and deserving students; provide avenues to hone students’ talents and interest to ensure social and cultural growth; and develop skills and potentials of student writers Health Services 6 The CvSU Health service is basically a supportive unit of University. It is in charged with the delivery of the basic health services which are promotive, preventive, and curative and to some extent rehabilitative. Its vital role is towards the achievements of delivering quality, affordable accessible health services with maximum enjoyment of good health to its clientele. Its services are also extensively utilized by the University for its student practicum, on the job training and in varying degrees for health manpower development and research as well as for rural development program. Health Services 7 Mission: To provide the highest attained patient care by making “the right to health” a reality through: a. delivering quality, affordable and accessible health services b. arousing community health awareness c. promoting better health services in the workplace d. mobilizing health resources Health Services 8 Vision: Health is a basic human right. A continuous set of quality services must be provided to assure the reality of this right, not only to the academic community of the University but also to the resident of Indang and nearby municipalities. Health Services 9 Specific Objectives: A) To provide curative care in terms of the following: a. outpatient medical and dental consultation including minor a light major surgical and dental care a. In patient secondary treatment and confinement a. Emergency care treatment Health Services 10 Objectives: In order to realize our vision and mission, we have the following general and specific objectives. General Objectives: To provide the best possible promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health services to the clients To deliver quality, affordable, accessible health services Health Services 11 Specific Objectives: B) To engage in preventive and promotive health activities such as: a. Pre-employment physical, dental and laboratory examination. b. Annual physical, dental and laboratory examination of the faculty c. 3 Physical, dental and laboratory examination of all students. Health Services 12 Specific Objectives: d. Establishment of medical ancillary services which include laboratory, x-ray, pharmacy, ambulance and civic action services. e. Family planning, Pre-Natal, Post-Natal and well baby clinic. f. Immunization Program. g. Food, water and environmental sanitation which include insect and vermin control and waste disposal program. Health Services 13 Specific Objectives: C) To develop advocacy for its rural and development program for the enhancement of health awareness of community through the following: a. Conduct or attend different outreach lectures, conferences, seminars on health-related issues in coordination with the different agencies b. Perform pioneering activities and research work pertaining to a competitive therapeutic option in the treatment of the diseases. c. Awareness on the importance of environmental conservation. Health Services 14 Specific Objectives: D) To work cohesively with the University administration on how to expand the health benefits and privileges of students, faculty and employees and their dependents. Health Services 15 Target clientele / Area Coverage: The hospital intends to provide health service not only to the academic community of the University but also to the residents of Indang and nearby communities. Organizational Set Up: The health services shall be headed by the Director of the Hospital.
