How long shall members still receive benefits following a layoff? d. Until the end of the next full month after the effective date. 5. How much notice is required for union dues increases? e. Step 2: If the lodge is not satisfied with the answer obtained in step 1, within [14 days] of the Lt.'s answer, the grievance may be presented in writing by email to the member's AC or designated Commander. The AC or Commander shall have [14 days] from service to meet with the member and lodge representative to discuss the grievance. The AC or Commander shall have [14 days] from the meeting to answer in writing or email. k. Step 3: Same as step 2 except with the chief. l. Step 4: Same as step 3 except with the mayor or human resources designee. m. Step 5: If the lodge is not satisfied with the answer obtained in step 4, within 14 days of the mayor's answer, the lodge may seek arbitration by notifying the other party in writing by email. A panel of [7 arbitrators] in the Kentucky region from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) will be formed to hear the grievance within [21 days] of the lodge serving notice they were seeking arbitration. 48. Length of notice before effective date to the lodge and all members for any change in department orders, policies, rules, regulations, and SOPs? n. 10 days 49. A member requests representation. 70. Who can have access to a member's personnel file? a. The member or their designated representative b. Any employee of higher rank than the member c.
