Graphical user interface (GUI): you interact with a software using text, graphic and visual image such as icon. Icon: is a miniature image that represents a program or some other object. Two categories of software 1>>system software 2>>application software System software: group of programs that maintain or control the operation. System software 1>>operation system 2>>utility system Operation system is the interface between user and hardware. Example: windows, Linux, macOS. Device drivers: allowing operation system to communicate with hardware devices. Utility system: tools that perform maintenance tasks. Example: antivirus, backup software. Application software: programs designed to make user more productivity with personal tasks. Application software. 1>> Productivity software: tools for creating document, presentation. Example: Microsoft office. 2>> Database software: applications for storing relative data into computer. Example: Microsoft access. 3>> Multimedia software: tools for creating videos, images. 4>> Web browsers: software used to navigate the internet. Example: google chrome.
