When you compare, you look for common features or characteristics. ❖ For example, you might say, “This car is faster than that car,” or “Both cities are beautiful.” Words like “more,” “less,” “better,” and “worse” are commonly used in comparisons. What Does the Word “Contrast” Mean? ❖ The word “contrast” means to examine two or more items to identify their differences.
