Academic writing is different from other forms of writing, as it is meant to be objective, precise and well- structured. Formal tone: Academic writing uses a formal tone and avoids casual language, slang or colloquial expressions. What is Clarity and Precision: Academic writing aims to convey ideas and information clearly and precisely. It avoids ambiguity and vague language. academic Structured Organisation: Academic papers typically writing? have a clear and logical structure with an introduction, body and conclusion. Each section has a specific purpose and contributes to the overall argument. Evidence Based: Academic writing relies on evidence from scholarly sources to support arguments and claims. Referencing gives credit to the author and sources of information you have used in your own paper. Distinguishes your ideas and reinforces your argument.
