Exhaustivity: some tasks can only be performed on a console. 2 User-computer interface Linux Graphical User Interface (GUI) 3 User-computer interface Command Line Interface (CLI) 4 Login  A Linux session encompasses the time from when a user logs in or starts interacting with a system until he/she log out.  A session begins with the user logging in with an account name and associated password.  Before logging in, the user must be registered with a login and password.  The user has two ways to log on: Graphical mode.
