And being physically fit makes you feel and look good. -Being physically fit is something that you have to do yourself. You are responsible for keeping and maintaining your body healthy and free from any disease -Regular exercise helps you to be physically fit. Exercise is a necessary part of a healthful lifestyle. Start each workout by doing a warm-up exercise. This can be done by spending a few minutes stretching muscles and gradually working into the main activity of your workout. b. Set a realistic goal for your workout. Avoid trying to do too much too fast. c. Stop exercising if pain occurs. Take a rest. d. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes that are suited to the type of exercise you are doing. e. Drink plenty of fluids, especially water, to avoid dehydration. f. At the end of your exercise routine, spend a few minutes on cooldown exercises. REST AND SLEEP After an active day, your body needs to rest to help relax the muscles. No matter how physically fit you are, your body still gets tired and needs regular rest and sleep. To help keep yourself physically fit, you need a daily balance of exercise, rest, and sleep. Resting gives the heart, lungs, and other muscles a chance to relax or become calm. As you rest, your pulse rate slows down and will cause you to breathe slowly and easily. One way of resting to relax is by just sitting quietly by yourself. Others prefer to relax through reading for pleasure, playing musical instruments, or even daydreaming after school. Every day, you need the rest that comes only from sleep When you sleep, your whole body rests as well as your brain. However, it does not stop working because it keeps on working to store energy needed for the next day`s use. Thus, it is very important to get enough sleep, at least 8 to 10 hours, to keep yourself healthy and fit. you need more sleep because your body is still growing and needs energy to be active In a NUTSHELL *Physical Fitness means having your body work the best it can. You can develop physical fitness through regular exercise. *Keeping oneself physically fit needs a daily balance of exercise, rest, and sleep.
