In cases of bullying, the teacher should pay particular attention to the following issues: ✓Point out jokes that aren't jokes: It was just a joke! It's a common excuse, be careful of jokes that don't get laughed at. Bullying Prevention Program Individual Level: ✓Beware of games that not everyone plays: It was a game! The game may have been started by using force. ✓Beware of accidents that are not accidental: It was an accident! Bullying Prevention Program At Individual Level: Listen carefully. Focus on feelings. Organize a meeting with people involved in bullying. Interview each of them individually but one after the other (if the bullying is done by a group, they will get support from each other in group discussions and share the responsibility). Don't blame, emphasize responsibility. It is important to process the feeling of caring, help them understand what the victim is feeling. Bullying Prevention Program At Individual Level: To protect the victim from further attacks, help can be asked from key children in the classroom. Higher grades may be asked to help keep an eye on the victim during breaks or on the way to school When talking to a student bully, focus on rejected and unacceptable behavior, not on his/her personality. Use the counseling service effectively. Bullying Prevention Program At Individual Level: Communication with Parents: Informing parents about the situation and requesting their cooperation to create change. The aim is to discuss the situation and develop a common solution plan.
