Blending Images Using Gradient Tool Objectives Determine the function 01 of Gradient tool. Blend images using 02 gradient tool and layer mask. 03 Show creativity in doing the task. Gradient tool creates a gradual blend between multiple colors. You can choose from preset Gradient fills or create your own. You fill an area with a gradient by dragging in the image. Hands-On Open Rose.jpg and 01 Lovers.jpg Choose Window> 02 Arrange>Tile All Vertically Select Move Tool and drag 03 lovers image on top of rose image. Hands-On Close Lovers.jpg. 04 Press Ctrl T to bring up the 05 Free Transform tool. Press Shift key and then drag any of the 06 corner handles inward in order to fit more of the image into the viewable document area. Hands-On To edit the background, double-click it 07 and rename it as Rose. Rename layer 1 as Lovers. 08 Click the Add Layer mask button at the 09 bottom of the Layers panel. Hands-On Select Gradient tool. 10 In the Option bar, select Black, White 11 gradient (first row, third column) Hold down the Shift key and drag to blend 12 the two images.
