The most common currently in the practice of grammar school teaching is a differentiated approach. It is based on the selective use of the provisions of the two traditionally established approaches noted above. In our work, we focus on the implicit approach - teaching grammar without explaining the rules. The implicit approach was developed by E.N.Solovova and consists of two methods: structural and communicative. ## Structural Method * **Advantages:** The advantages of this method is that the grammatical structure becomes the object of a long and special elaboration. * **Disadvantages:** Also, in this method, along with the pluses, there are also minuses: - Exercises are mechanical, monotonous in nature. - Students get bored; tired. - Exercises exclude the speech character of working out. - The content and speech value of sentences, as a rule, is low, since all attention is directed only to working out the form. ## Communicative Method * **Advantages:** The advantages of this method are: - A high degree of motivation of students. - A speech orientation of working out. - A variety of speech contexts of use. * **Disadvantages:** The disadvantages of this method are: - Underestimation of the principle of consciousness - Great preparation on the part of the teacher. - A special set of speech studies, which is not always in the arsenal of every teacher. - Duration in time. ## Researcher According to the definition of Doctor of Philology, Professor B.G. Gak, grammar is a branch of linguistics in which the patterns of changes and combinations of words forming meaningful sentences or utterances are studied. According to E.N.Solovova, to know grammar means to know: the form, meaning, usage, speech function of a grammatical phenomenon. ## Thank You
