Answer any five short answer types questions in about 50-60 words each:-** (5x2) i) What kind of people does money-madness make of us, according to the poet? ii) What does 'Sing America' mean? iii) How is autumn personified in the poem? iv) What is the reason for the traveler choosing the less travelled path? v) Bring out the theme of 'Ode to Autumn' by Keats. vi) What do the two roads symbolize? vii) How can the fear we feel, when we have no money, turn into delirium. viii) Comment on the significance of the little of the poem 'I, Too'. ### Section - B **III. Answer any two of the following questions in 100-120 words each:-** (2x3) i) What impression do you form of Mr. Kelada in the story, 'Mr. Know all¹? ii) How did Ray shoot his third film? iii) Explain the significance of the little of the story 'Not just oranges'. iv) How has advertising also toppled the world of nature? **IV. Read the following passage and make notes on any one of the following using headings and subheadings:-** (4) A newspaper is usually owned by one or by a group of proprietors. They provide the capital and usually decide the policy of the paper though they do not normally take part in the day-to-day running of it. This is the responsibility of the editor. whose job is to make sure that the paper comes out every day and that it contains the information that readers expect to find in it. He has a large staff to help him do this, of course. The actual news comes from two main sources: the papers own reporters, and the news agencies. Most papers subscribe to one or more agencies, i.e. they pay a certain sum of money each year and in return, they are allowed to make use of the news which the agency sends them every day. Naturally, they do not use all this news - they select from it what they need. OR The moon looks big in the sky. This is because it is much closer to us than anything else in the sky. It is about 3,86,000 km away. In astronomy, this is a very short distance. The moon is our nearest neighbour. Suppose an aeroplane flew round the equator of our earth ten times. From the earth to the moon is a shorter distance. Our next nearest neighbour is the planet Venus. Venus is over 41 million km away. A second name for the moon is satellite and so the moon is earth's satellite. The earth is a planet. Some planets have a number of satellites. In fact, there are only two planets without satellites. They are Mercury and Venus. ### Section - C **V.
