# Microsoft Word Features This document describes various tabs and features within Microsoft Word. ## **View Tab** The View Tab allows the user to toggle between different document views, such as multiple pages, grids, rulers, Focus, Immersive Reader, and Zoom. It's divided into categories: Document View, Accessibility, Show/Hide, Zoom, Window, and Macros. ### **Views** * **Normal and Master Page:** Quickly switch between normal and master views. * **Read Mode:** Displays pages in a book-like format for easier reading. * **Print Layout:** Shows how pages will look when printed. * **Web Layout:** Previews document as a webpage. * **Outline:** Displays document in outline format. * **Draft:** Shows the document without formatting, headers or footers. ### **Immersive** * **Focus:** Hides buttons and UI elements for focused reading. * **Immersive Reader:** Enhances readability for users with specific needs. ### **Page Movement** * **Vertical**: Scrolls up and down between pages. * **Side to Side**: Scrolls left and right between pages. ### **Show** * **Ruler**: Displays a ruler on the document. * **Gridlines**: Displays gridlines on the document. ### **Zoom** * **Zoom**: Increases viewing size. * **100%**: Displays document at its actual size. * **One Page**: Zooms the document to display the whole page. * **Multiple Pages**: Displays multiple pages simultaneously. * **Page Width**: Zooms the page to match the window width. ## **Arrange** The following commands are part of the Arrange group: * **Position**: Moves the selected item to the desired location. * **Wrap Text**: Determines how text wraps around the object. * **Bring Forward**: Moves selected objects forward. * **Send Backward**: Moves selected objects behind other objects * **Selection Plane**: Lists all objects on the page. * **Align**: Sets object alignment on the page. * **Group**: Combines objects into one. * **Rotate**: Rotates selected images. ## **References Tab** This tab is used for managing citations, footnotes, endnotes, tables of contents, bibliographies, and other reference types within a document, especially helpful for research papers or lengthy documents. It contains commands for Table of Contents, Footnotes, Research, Citations, Captions, Index, and Table Authorities. ## **Mailings Tab** This tab is primarily used for mail merge operations (combining emails, inserting fields, etc.). It has commands like Address, Start Mail Merge, Insert Fields, Preview, Merge Range, and Finish. ## **Review Tab** This tab allows users for proofreading, adding/removing comments, tracking changes, enabling Read Aloud and verifying accessibility.
