# The Seventh Lesson (Belief in the Day of Judgment) 1. **Define belief in the Day of Judgment:** The end of the world, the beginning of the hereafter, resurrection, reckoning, Paradise for the believer, and Hellfire for the disbeliever. 2. **List the evidence for the Day of Judgment**: The Quran, Messengers, stories of raising the dead, death, God's justice in accounting for the good and the bad (refer to page 42 of the book for details). 3. **Why did God hide the time of the Day of Judgment?** To encourage repentance from wrongdoings and persistence on obedience in believers. 4. **What is the first blowing of the trumpet?** The blowing of the trumpet for shock and death. It is called al-Raajifa. 5. **What is the second blowing of the trumpet?** The blowing of the trumpet for resurrection. It is called al-Radf. How much time between the two breaths? Forty (40). 6. **Who is the angel who blows the trumpet (al-Su'ur)?** The angel Israfil. 7. **Provide evidence of changes in the universe after the blowing of the trumpet?** Refer to the evidence sheet (if the sun shrinks). 8. **What is the meaning of the great intercession? To whom does it belong?** Intercession at the beginning of accountability and it belongs to Prophet Muhammad. 9. **What is the great intercession called?** Al-Maqam al-Mahmoud (Praiseworthy Station). 10. **How does God present the case for His creation on the Day of Judgment?** Through multiple testimonies: prophets, angels, the earth, and the limbs. 11. **Provide evidence for the testimony of limbs on the Day of Judgment?** (Detailed evidence is on the evidence sheet). 12. **Who is the first to cross the bridge (al-Sirat)?** Prophet Muhammad. 13. **What is the fate of disobedient believers?** They will enter Hellfire initially but will not be eternally punished. 14. **How many effects does believing in the Day of Judgment have on society?** Piety in God, awareness of Him, peace of mind, confidence in God's justice, and the certainty that the world is temporary. 15. **Define the gathering (al-hashr)?** Gathering of mankind in a place of accountability. 16. **Define the bridge (al-Sirat)?** A bridge set across Hell for those who pass accountably. 17. **What are the characteristics of the pool (al-hawz)?** A large pool of the river Kawthar, sweeter than honey and whiter than milk. Believers drink from it, but disbelievers and hypocrites are not allowed to drink.
