I will be selling electric pick-up trucks in the automotive retail market. This business idea is based on fast growing demand for eco-friendly transportation and the need for EV parts. More consumers want electric and hybrid vehicles as they look for sustainable options, with EV sales increasing by over 40 % worldwide recently. This trend shows a big shift towards the environment since it is friendly, hence its demand is increasing. Young buyers, like millennials and gen Zare in the market, are looking for reliable, affordable, and sustainable vehicles. This group provides a strong potential customer for our products. High quality is essential for our pickup trucks. Customers expect these vehicles to be durable, safe and efficient. We will prioritize superior materials and technology in our manufacturing process. A commitment to quality enhances our brand reputation and encourages customer loyalty. To support this growth and stay in control, the business will be set up as a private limited company. This setup will protect my personal assets from business debts and give me control over decision making, since the industry is crucial with high operational costs and risks. This business will need a significant investment in manufacturing, marketing and operational costs. It will use a tall organizational structure, meaning a clear chain of command and strong leadership. This structure will also help us to expand globally, reach more markets, and grow revenue. By organizing into departments like production and marketing, we can manage resources effectively. By focusing on the EV market and having a strong business set up, we are in an acceptable position to meet the needs of in environmentally conscious customers. **Task 2** my truck business, I see both good opportunities and challenges in the market. One big opportunity is the growing demand for electric trucks. More businesses want to go green, and electric trucks are a great possibility. With new laws for lower emissions and better technology, like improved batteries and faster charging, now is a great time to offer electric trucks. Rising fuel prices also make electric trucks more attractive because they cost less to run. Plus, government incentives like tax breaks can help make them more affordable for businesses. But there are some challenges too. The high cost of electric trucks is still a problem, even though they save money on fuel in the long run. Another issue is that there aren\'t enough charging stations, especially in remote areas. Some businesses might also worry about how long the batteries will last or if the trucks will perform well. Lastly, many businesses are used to diesel trucks and may not be ready to switch to electric ones. To take advantage of the opportunities, I will focus on the environmental benefits of my electric trucks. I\'ll also use government incentives to help lower the cost for customers. I\'ll keep up with new technology to make sure my trucks are always top quality. I\'ll also show how much businesses can save on fuel in the long run. To deal with the challenges, I will offer flexible payment plans, like leasing, so the trucks are more affordable. I will also work to make more charging stations available, especially in places that need them. Using long-lasting batteries and offering warranties will help ease concerns about reliability. I\'ll also offer free trials and demos to help businesses try the trucks and feel comfortable with them. These strategies match the needs of the market. By making the trucks more affordable and improving charging access, I can help businesses make the switch to electric trucks. While there are risks, like changes in regulations or technology, I\'ll be ready to adjust by offering new options, like hybrid trucks, or changing my marketing if needed. **Task 3 -- Production and Quality** **The** process of making trucks involves a lot of steps ,like designing ,engineering and testing.the first is the design and engineering in the second step the purpose is defined and the specifications of the truck, for example mine is pickup truck so we then proceed to the designing ,after the specific design is decided then engineers use software\'s like computer aided design to create the blue prints of the truck like designing the body, chassis, suspension and interior components. We also try to ensure performance, safety and manufacturability, using quality assurance (QA) since it proactively prevents issues, ensures consistent service quality, and boosts customer trust while minimizing operational costs. Then we get the important materials like steel, aluminum, rubber, and other electronics like batteries sourced from suppliers. We then go ahead with the manufacturing of parts, such as the engines and the interior parts produced by external suppliers. Then the truck\'s frame is assembled, followed by installation of engine transmission, body and interior components. Then we paint and start testing. We do a final inspection whereby we check to ensure all parts function properly and the truck meets quality standards. We then ship and distribute the completed truck to either dealership or directly to customers. In every year we have specific times for quality control checkups, first in the manufacturing process, then regular inspections and tests are done to make sure all parts are meeting the needed standards. Our business specializes in manufacturing modern electric trucks, and we use two primary methods. lean production and just-in-time production methods to enhance our operations. **Lean production** helps us in cutting waste and improving efficiency. By focusing on reducing excess materials and perfecting our production processes, we can lower costs and produce trucks more quickly. this method helps us in emphasizing continuous improvement, ensuring we keep high quality standards throughout production **Just in time production** this allows us to produce trucks based on confirmed customer order. This strategy minimizes our inventory costs by reducing the number of stocks we keep on hand.it also provides flexibly, enabling us to adapt quickly to changes in customer demands.by aligning production closely with actual orders, we meet customers\' needs without overproduction, which is crucial in the competitive electric truck market. **Task4** Our pick-up truck is undergoing some changes, like changing to a new production process which is focused on changing from the traditional internal combustion (ICE) pick-up trucks to the electric powdered models. This new production method is designed to go with the global sustainability trends. However, there are some changes we faced during the process of changing, like the employees feared losing their jobs because they might have to adopt recent changes and techniques. There was also fatigue and no time due to increased employee training to work on the new system. Change management is a process of preparing, supporting and helping employees and organization guide through change perfectly.it is important in this case because we are trying to shift from (ICE) to electric powdered models, which includes major changes in the production processes and employee responsibilities. Successful change management guarantees that employees accept new systems while feeling overwhelmed and resistant. Also, it makes sure business runs smoothly during these changes. It helps prevent issues that could disrupt operations, like confusion or delays. At the same time, it ensures that these changes align with the company's bigger goals, like being more sustainable and innovative. It also helps keep employees motivated and productive throughout the transition, so everyone feels confident and supported. Kotter's 8-Step Change Model which is amazing for managing the transition to electric-powered trucks in our business because it gives us a clear, structured approach to guiding employees through the process. By creating urgency around sustainability and the need to stay competitive, making a point of the benefits, and effectively communicating the changes, we can try to resist and ensure everyone is aligned. Empowering employees with training and resources will address concerns about job loss, while early successes will be good for the moral, by making change in how the company operates day to day ,we can make sure that the change happens smoothly and lasts ,this will help us to make sure the change stays effective overtime. To keep everyone in the loop about the changes, we'll start by holding meetings with our team, so they can ask questions and get clear answers. We'll also send out regular newsletters or email updates to share progress and keep everyone informed. To make sure everyone feels heard and supported, we'll hold workshops where employees can share feedback and get more details. This way, we can ensure everyone stays informed and involved throughout the process. If job cuts are necessary, we'll try to ensure fairness by focusing on operational needs. Affected employees will be given severance pay, redeployment opportunities, and career counseling. Our goal is to minimize job losses through internal redeployment and training. The new production process will create new roles, like automation technicians, and combine existing positions. To help employees adapt, we'll offer training in new machinery, safety, and quality standards. We'll also phase in the implementation to prevent production halts and use temporary staff or overtime to address delays. This strategy combines clear communication, employee support, and operational planning, aligning with the company's goals to minimize disruption, reduce resistance, and ensure long-term success. This can affect your compliance costs and operational processes. - **Economic Policies**: Changes in economic policies, such as taxes or tariffs on imported vehicles, can affect pricing, profitability, and your supply chain. - **Market Confidence**: Changes in leadership can affect consumer and investor confidence, affecting sales and business growth. The tax changes or trade agreements that might hurt or help the business - **Increases in Sales Tax**: Higher sales tax can lead to increased vehicle prices, potentially reducing demand. - **Import Restrictions**: New trade barriers can raise costs for imported vehicles or parts, affecting pricing and profitability How is the country\'s economy effecting the business - **Employment Rates**: Higher employment leads to increased disposable income, boosting car sales. Conversely, high unemployment can result in decreased demand. - **Investment Climate**: A stable economy attracts investment, which can lead to business expansion and innovation in the automotive sector. - **Inflation**: Rising inflation can increase costs for materials and labor, changing pricing. For halal businesses, supporting affordability while adhering to ethical practices is crucial. Inflation may also reduce consumer buying power, leading to decreased demand for vehicles. **Sustainability Trends**: I need to prioritize eco-friendly vehicles in my inventory. If I don't offer electric or hybrid options, I risk losing customers who are increasingly focused on sustainability. Effects of changes from population, age and education levels With an aging population, there may be increased demand for vehicles that are comfortable and easy to use, Higher education levels often correlate with higher disposable income, which can lead to increased sales of higher-end or luxury vehicles. How people's values and concerns affect what they buy Consumers who prioritize sustainability are more likely to buy eco-friendly products, Buyers who value safety may prioritize vehicles with high safety ratings and advanced safety features. **Technological factors** Automation and Robotics: Automated systems streamline production lines and reduce labor costs, increasing precision and output in manufacturing processes Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI is improving decision-making, customer service through chatbots, and predictive analytics for inventory management, enhancing efficiency and personalization. How the internet affects the marketing sales of the businesses - Online marketing allows businesses to reach a global audience, expanding potential customer bases far beyond local markets. - With tools like social media and Google Ads, businesses can target specific demographics, interests, and behaviors, making marketing efforts more effective. The rise of online shopping enables consumers to buy vehicles or related products directly through websites, increasing sales opportunities. The new tools or software that could make the business run more Software like Dealer Socket or VinSolutions allows for real-time tracking of vehicle inventory, refining stock levels and improving sales processes. Programs like QuickBooks or Xero streamline economic management, invoicing, and expense tracking, making it easier to manage cash flow. **Legal factors** The new laws that businesses need to follow like health, safety and dates protection I must ensure a safe workplace for my employees and customers, which includes keeping equipment, training staff on safety protocols, and following guidelines to minimize risks. Laws: I need to follow regulations like GDPR, ensuring that customer data is collected, stored, and handled securely, with clear privacy policies in place. How the changes in employment laws or consumer rights affect the business Increased consumer rights regulations can lead to stricter requirements for transparency in pricing, warranties, and product disclosures. This means I must ensure all information provided to customers is correct and comprehensive, which may involve added training for staff and updated marketing practices. Changes in employment laws can affect hiring practices, wages, and benefits. If regulations require higher minimum wages or other employee benefits, my operational costs may increase, needing adjustments in budgeting or pricing strategies. **Any legal risks** Not following health, safety, or environmental regulations can lead to fines, legal action, or shutdowns. Non-compliance with labor laws on wages, working conditions, or employee rights can lead to lawsuits and increased operational costs. How we affect the environment The vehicles I sell contribute to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, especially if they are not fuel-efficient or environmentally friendly. The sourcing of materials and transportation of vehicles can have a carbon footprint, affecting overall environmental sustainability. The new environmental laws and regulations we must follow More customers are prioritizing sustainability when choosing vehicles. This trend means I need to offer a range of eco-friendly options, like electric and hybrid cars, to attract these buyers. **Competitive rivalry** in the truck industry, competition is extraordinarily strong, with many companies trying to win over customers Each competitor offers a different product, which makes it important to stand out in terms of price, quality, and customer service. Since the market is not growing quickly, companies are always looking for ways to attract and keep customers. Many buyers want trucks that are reliable and affordable. We aim to stand out by offering innovative features and great customer support. Trends like the demand for electric trucks are changing in the industry, so we need to adapt our strategies to stay competitive. By understanding these factors, we can better position our business to succeed and find new opportunities. **Supply power** in the truck industry, suppliers have a lot of control over prices, especially for special parts like engines and electronics. Because there are few options of these parts, suppliers can charge more, and switching to a new supplier can be expensive For more common parts, it\'s easier to find alternatives and negotiate better deals. When suppliers rely on our business, we can get better prices. With changes like the rise if electric trucks, we also need new suppliers, which could help balance supplier power.by understanding how suppliers affect us we can manage costs and keep our business smoothly. **Buyer\'s power** in my truck business, buyer power matters a lot. If I have just a few big customers, they can easily push forward. **Threat of substitution** in my truck business this is important If customers can easily find cheaper or better alternatives to our trucks, it weakens our position. For example, if electric trucks become more affordable or popular, traditional trucks may face competition. The easier and cheaper it is for customers to switch to these alternatives, the bigger the threat. To reduce this, we focus on offering unique features, high quality, and great service to make it harder for customers to find a good substitute. **The threat of entry** into my truck business, the threat of new competitors depends on how easy it is for others to enter the market. Building trucks requires a lot of money for factories, equipment, and technology. It\'s also a highly regulated industry, with strict safety and environmental rules that new companies must follow, which makes it harder and more expensive for them to start. This gives us some protection. While small companies might try to enter, the big established players dominate the market, making it tough for new entrants to gain a foothold quickly. ***Quality management in production*** In my automotive business, I rely on quality assurance because it helps me prevent problems before they happen. Instead. Of only checking for issues at the end of production ,QA allows me to build quality every step.I set specific standards for each part of the process and make sure my team is well-trained to follow these standards.this proactive approach means that each truck or vehicle component meets safety and performance requirements from the start, which is crucial in delivering reliable vehicles. One of the main advantages of QA is that it helps reduce costs. By catching and fixing issues early. I avoid the expensive rework that comes with last-minute problems. This approach also builds trust, and my customers know quality is prioritized throughout the entire process, not just at the end. Another benefit is efficiency: with clear guidelines and standards in place, my team works more effectively, which boosts productivity. However, QA does require time and effort to implement. Setting up a powerful system and regularly training staff takes commitment, but I believe it\'s worth it. Overall, A helps me deliver high quality vehicles and strengthens my brand reputation.
