STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES SECTION: 500.00 / HAZARDOUS MATERIALS Guideline: 503.00 Hazardous Materials Team Effective Date: 3-15-94 Revision Date: 1/2023 503.00 HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TEAM The Haz-Mat Team will be requested as a first-call mutual aid, with a special call for a Haz-Mat Team. Upon arrival, the Haz-Mat Sector Officer shall be the highest-ranking Haz-Mat team member on the scene. The duties of the Haz-Mat Sector Officer shall be to report to Incident Command as needed or required, and direct Haz-Mat Team activities. Once a Haz-Mat Team has been notified, the Incident Commander will work with the Haz-Mat Sector Officer.
