NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (NCR) PROFILE 2021 YOUNG ADULT FERTILITY AND SEXUALITY STUDY Population Pyramid of National Capital Region: 2020 (in thousands) 80 and over Female Male The National Capital Region (NCR) exhibits a bell-shaped 75-79 70-74 population pyramid, indicating its maturing population age 65-69 structure owed to declining birth and death rates. 60-64 55-59 50-54 There are 2.4 million youth aged 15-24 in NCR, constituting 45-49 about a fifth (17%) of the regional population.
