The eligibility criteria, examination pattern, application process etc. are detailed in Annexure-I. 3. Offices ICentral Office Departments (CODs) are requested to obtain the willingness or otherwise from all eligible employees, who fulfil the eligibility criteria as on the notification date i.e. December 17, 2024. The details of the willing candidates may be forwarded in the prescribed format to [email protected] and [email protected] by December 27, 2024. Offices shall scrutinize all the particulars carefully in terms of existing instructions, before forwarding the data to Central Office. If no applications are received, offices shall confirm the same by sending a "Nil" statement. Regarding the verification of the caste status of SC / ST candidates eligible to appear for the examination, offices are advised to take action as per the instructions contained in the Master Circular on Recruitment dated April 01, 2024, read with circular DAPM.No.1242/05.59.01/96-97 dated November 6, 1996 issued in the matter. 5. All Offices / COOs are requested to nominate a Nodal Officer (an Officer of any grade) for the captioned examination. The name, contact number and email 10 of the nodal Officer shall be shared along with the details of the willing candidates. 6. Offices/COOs are requested to bring the content of this circular to the notice of all the eligible Class III employees attached to your Office / Department, including those on training, leave, deputation, etc., to enable them to submit the application by the specified date, i.e December 27,2024. Further, a copy of this circular may be provided to the local AIRBEA unit. (Ram Iyer) Deputy General Manager Encls: As above  Annexure I (1) Eligibility Criteria (i) All Class III employees (other than Pharmacists and Junior Engineers) who have completed at least three years of regular full-time service in the Class III cadre in the Bank as on date of notification (i.e. December 17, 2024) will be eligible to appear for the Departmental Examination for Panel Year 2024. (ii) Junior Engineers and Pharmacists who have completed 12 years of regular full- time service in Class III cadre, as on date of notification (i.e. December 17, 2024) will be eligible to appear for the Departmental Examination for Panel Year 2024. (2) Pattern of papers for examination The examination will be conducted online. The paper pattern will be as follows: Compulsory Papers for Candidates appearing for the post of Assistant Manager in Grade 'A' (i) Paper I - English (Objective + Descriptive) and Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude (Objective). English Objective - 50 questions one mark each English Descriptive - Precis 10 marks and Essay 15 marks Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude - 25 questions one mark each (ii) Paper II - RBI Act, Functions of RBI and General Banking Awareness -100 marks (Objective) Additional paper for candidates opting for the post of Private Secretary Grade 'A' (iii) Paper III - Computer Proficiency Test - 100 marks (50 questions two marks each) The Word Processor Assistants and Secretarial Assistants opting exclusively for the post of Private Secretary Grade 'A' need to appear only for Paper III. (3) The examination pattern for promotion of Class III employees to the post of Assistant Manager in Grade 'A' and Private Secretary in Grade 'A' will be as under:  2 Assistant Manager Grade Private Secretary Grade 'A' i 'A' ~ WPAI Sec. Assistant Paper I & II and interview Paper III and interview Assistants and Other Paper I & II and interview Paper I & Paper 11* Class III employees Paper III and interview.. * Minimum qualifying marks needs to be secured. (4) There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer (i.e. one fourth of a mark will be deducted for each wrong answer). However, there will be no negative marking for the descriptive questions of English section. (5) No credit for passed papers in the previous examination will be allowed to be carried forward for the next examination. (6) Passing Marks (i) The minimum qualifying marks will be at least 40% in each Paper i.e., Paper I, Paper II and Paper III of the on-line test. (ii) Those candidates qualified in the written examination of Assistant Manager Grade 'A' and Private Secretary in Grade 'A' will be shortlisted and called for interview. The minimum qualifying marks will be at least 40% in the interview. (iii) SC/ST candidates are eligible for mandatory relaxation in marks as per existing norms. (7) Examination Centres: (i) We intent to hold the online examination at all centres. However, if the number of candidates desirous of taking up the examination at any centre/s is small, we may decide not to hold the examination at that centre. In such cases, candidates attached to that Office will have to appear for the examination at a centre as decided by the Bank. (ii)Examination centres are liable to be changed at the discretion of the Bank. In the event of cancellation of online examination at any centre, we may allot any alternative centre to the candidate concerned. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. No request for change of centre will be entertained. (iii) A candidate who is allotted examination centre other than his/her normal headquarters will be treated as on tour for the minimum period required to write the examination at another centre and will be reimbursed T AlHA by the local Office as  3 per the rules. Candidates will, however, have to make their own arrangements for journey, boarding/lodging etc. (8) Application (i) The Class III employees who satisfy the eligibility criteria and are desirous of being considered for promotion under the captioned scheme shall submit the application in the prescribed format (Annexure II). The application shall be duly filled in all respects and to be typed or neatly handwritten on white A4 size paper. (ii) The application should be submitted to the Regional Director/ Principal Chief General Manager/ Chief General Manager-in-Charge/ Chief General Manager/ General Manager (Officer-in-Charge)/ Principal (Training Establishments) to which the applicant is attached, on or before December 27, 2024 (closing date). (iii) Application not submitted as stipulated above are liable to be rejected. (iv) The applications received from the candidates may be preserved with the offices.
