Leson 2 Human religiosity 1. religion In the history of mankind in every time throughout the history we can find examples that people have fixation with religious: In Cro-Magnon society they would bury their dead bodies with objects like spear and different things. Muslims go fasting in the month of Ramadan and eat and drink nothing from early morning till night, Christians celebrate Easter etc. these evidence show that human are committed to religion so they are, surprisingly enough, thinking about a ultimate truth. 2. The nature of religion: A rightful religion is a ritual which looks at the different aspects of mankind in this world and hereafter. It declares its instruction to human and guides them to infinite bliss. Some other religion scholars believe that religion is a collection of beliefs, acts and emotions which are organized over one ultimate truth. In Islam this ultimate truth is called “Allah” The origin of religion is Allah and divine revelation. Religion is independent of human. So accepting it or rejecting it has no effect on the nature of it. The ultimate goal of religion is to make men close to Allah. The origin and resurrection of all existence is Allah. Allah arranges and organizes this universe on science, his will and sublime qualities along with wisdom, Guardianship, justice, tact and mastery. Why humanity has been paying attention to the concept of religion and has interest in it? 1- Their orientation to righteous theory: If a mankind pays attention to both worldly affairs and spiritual and meta-materialistic affairs, he will definitely think about his relationship with Allah and its prerequisites. 2- Humane theory in human religiosity: - Psychological point of view about human religiosity: 1. coming back to my perfect version: this psychological point of view believes that mankind is now in a stage of life in which he has been descended from his perfect version to his imperfect version. So in order to come back to his perfect version he needs to try and observe a certain lifestyle and instruction. 2. Fear of the wrath of nature: mankind needs a powerful supporter because of his weakness and fear facing the dangerous phenomenon in nature. 3. Unconsciousness: nature of religion depends on nature of collective unconsciousness. Religious experience is the act of confrontation with these inner phenomena and believing in God(s) is the consequence of it.  - Sociological point of view about human religiosity: 1. invisible force of society: in this point of view religion is a collective force of society on people. It is a systematic way of thinking by which people can discover the society. Also, they express their important intimate relationship (with each other) by that. 2 ruler class of society: this perspective believes that religion is the result of class society. The ruling class of society use religion as a addictive drug against lower class of society to make them obedient. The reason of religion sustainability: Every phenomenon can survive as long as humanity exists: 1 it is based on human needs and their definite option. 2 it is a supplier factor Summary: - Humanity has always been dependant on religion. This shows mankind inner tendency to worship and religious messages. - According to human nature theory, religion is a truth with messages that lead mankind to bliss. Mankind is religious oriented is their tendency to be blissful. - Although psychological theory have identify inner mode of human, it has problem and insufficiencies which their inability to solve them. - Although sociological theories focus on how religion is created, it attributes all its creation to society class. So this theory is insufficient too.
