Non-Convex Polygon or Concave** is a polygon that at least one of its interior angle is more than 180 degrees. 6. **6.** **Equilateral Triangle** All sides are equal **7. Isosceles Triangle** At least two sides are qual **8. Scalene Triangle** No congruent sides **9. Supplementary Angles --** two angles have a sum of 180 degrees angle. **10.** **Complimentary Angles** two angles have a sum of ninety- degrees angle **11. Adjacent Angles** are two angles with common side **12. Linear Pair** are two angles formed a straight line. **13. Vertical Angles** are two opposite angles with common vertex **14. Sum of the exterior angles of a polygon** is 360 degrees. **15. Sum of an adjacent interior and exterior angles** is 180 degrees. **16. Vertical Angles** is always congruent **17. Number of triangle that can form in a polygon:** n-2 **18. Measure of the interior angles of a polygon:** (n-2)180 **19. Percentage increase** measures the amount of increase in comparison to the original value, expressed as percentage. **20. Percentage Decrease** measures the amount decrease in comparison to the original value, expressed as percentage. **Formulas:** **OV** means original value **NV** means new value **I** means increase **D** means decrease **PI** means percentage increase **PD** means percentage decrease **PI =** (NV -- OV) / OV x 100% OV = NV -- I NV = OR + I I = NV -- OV **PD =** (OV -- NV) / OV x 100% OV = NV + I NV = OR - I I = OV -- NV **21. Discount** is the *[reduction in the original price]* of a commodity (service or product) **D = OP x R** **Note**: **D** means discount, **OP** means original price, and **R** means rate of discount. **22. Sale Price** is the *[final price]* at which a product or item is sold to a customer *[after discounts have been applied.]* **SP = OP -- D** **Note: SP** means Sales Price, **OP** means original price, and **D** means discount **23. Selling Price** is the price that the customers pay for the product without a discount *[also known as the original price]*. **OP = SP -- D** or **OP = SP/1 -- R** **Note: OP** means original price, **SP** means sales price, **D** means discount, and **R** means rate of discount **24. Commission** refers to the amount of money earned by a person from selling something. **C=TS x R** **Note: C** means commission**,** **TS** means total sales, and **R** means commission rate **25. Commission rate** is the percentage taken off from the selling price of the item sold. **R = C/TS x 100%** **Note: C** means commission**,** **TS** means total sales, and **R** means commission rate **26. Sales Tax** is the amount added to the total amount of product, it is commonly known as *[Value Added Tax (VAT)]*. **ST = TAP x R** **Note: ST** means sales tax, **TAP** means total amount of product, and **R** means rate of sales tax **27. Interest --** the amount earned from investing or borrowing money **28. Interest rate --** the percent of interest **29. Principal --** the amount of money invested or borrowed **30.** **Time --** the length of time the money was invested or the length of time the borrowed money will be paid (in years) I = Prt P = I/rt r = I/Pt t = I/Pr **Note:** **I** means interest **P** means Principal Amount **r** means rate of interest **t** means time (in terms of year) **30. Ratio** is the comparison of two different quantities with the same unit **31. Rate** is a ratio comparing two quantities of different kinds of units. **32. Unit Rate** a rate for one of something. It has a denominator of 1 unit when written as a fraction. **33. Whole Numbers --** 25, 52, 90 **34. Proper Fraction --** ¼, 3/5, 2/13 **35.** **Improper Fraction** -- 4/3, 11/2 **36**. **Mixed Fraction** -- 63 ¼ , 2 ½ **37. Terminating Decimal** -- 1.25, 3.14, 142.24 **38. Non-terminating decimal** 2.718.... and 4.156254....... **39. Repeating Decimal --** 0.333..., 12.757575..., 1.23232 **40. Percentage** -- 10%, 54%, 100% **41. Percentage to Fraction** **Form to Decimal Form** 23% = 23/100 = 0.231 4.2% = 14.2/100 = 0.142 **42.** Rational Number is a number that can be written as a ratio of two integers, where the denominator is not zero. **Examples:** Integers, fractions, Mixed Numbers, and percentage **43. Ascending Order of Rational** **Numbers** 1.1, 1 3/10, 1.9, 1 ½, 1.2 1.1, 1.3, 1.9, 1.5, 1.2 **1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.9** **44. Descending Order of Rational** **Numbers** 1.1, 1 3/10, 1.9, 1 ½, 1.2 1.1, 1.3, 1.9, 1.5, 1.2 **1.9, 1.5, 1.3, 1.2, 1.1** **45.** If Php10 is 5% of a number, what is the number? *10/0.05 =* Php **** **46.** What is 18% of 150?*150 x 0.18 =***** **47.** What percent of 180 is 90? 90/180 = 0.05 = **[50%]** **48.** The book is worth Php 199 and on 30% sale.
