HOFFMAN ESTATES FIRE DEPARTMENT STANDARD OPERATING GUIDELINES SOG Category & Identification Number: EFFECTIVE DATE: RESPONSE GUIDELINES – 001 January 1, 2022 NIMS COMPLIANT SOG Title: Response Procedures Revision: 6 APPROVED BY: NUMBER OF PAGES: Re-evaluation Date: Alan Wax January 1, 2026 Fire Chief 2 PURPOSE The following response procedures establish uniform emergency responses for the Fire Department. POLICY Boundaries: Each station’s emergency response district is divided by the following general description found on Page 3. Exact Still District boundaries are defined by Village maps located in each station and at the administrative office located at Village Hall. However, the response outlined is to be made by the still district or the closest available unit(s). It is the responsibility of all Shift Officers, Company Officers and shift personnel to comply with these orders. Secondary Responses to districts when the district apparatus is out of service or committed will be as follows: 2nd Due 3rd Due 4th Due District 21 District 22 District 23 District 24 District 22A District 21 District 24 District 23 District 22B District 23 District 21 District 24 District 23 District 22 District 21 District 24 District 24 District 22 District 21 District 23 Note: On Code 1 Ambulance request if the still district engine is unavailable, the first substitute will be Squad 22 in all districts. In District 23, the second due ambulance will be Palatine Rural Ambulance 36.
