Document on Windows Security Identification and Access Protection For installing PME, log on to your Windows system using an account that is a member of the Administrators group. Permissions for the Administrators group can be restricted by system policies which might affect the PME installation. Work with your network administrator to resolve any permissions issues. Enforced Password Policy Confidential Property of Schneider Electric | Page 14 Internal Windows Accounts PME uses two Windows accounts for its operation, IONMaintenance and IONUser  The IONMaintenance account is used to run PME database jobs in Windows Task Scheduler.  The IONUser account is used for subscriptions created in the Reports application, when the generated report is created using the file share option.  By default, the password for these accounts is generated automatically by the installer. The same password is used for both accounts. Confidential Property of Schneider Electric | Page 15 Internal Database Accounts Use SQL Server Authentication or Use Windows Integrated Authentication SQL Server Authentication PME uses three SQL accounts for its database access, ION, ionedsd and AMUser. The password for these accounts is generated automatically by the installer. Windows Integrated Authentication PME uses one Windows account for its database access. Choose an existing windows account or create a new one with the correct access permissions. The Windows account for this must be created outside of the PME installer. Reset Accounts – change the default passwords for the supervisor account, the Windows accounts, and the database accounts. Export System Key – export the system key again in case the originally exported key has been lost. Import System Key – import a system key during a side-by-side upgrade or migration of the PME server. Uninstall – removes those system files and components that would prevent a re-installation of the software. Use Uninstall to repair or troubleshoot a damaged system. ‒ It doesn’t remove all files and the databases. Example of a Software License Before you begin the process on the Sales Portal, make sure you have the following: Authorization Code The Authorization Code from the Software Certificate that was shipped with your order. The name and address of your customer that has purchased the software. This will be required to identify the correct Customer Site in the Sales Portal. Confidential Property of Schneider Electric | Page 26 Internal Log In and select the Workflow Sales Portal: https://pme-licensing.schneider-electric.com/ 1. Go to the Sales Portal and sign-in. 2. On the Sales Portal Home screen… Step 1: click the ‘Generate Licenses’ button, then Step 2: select the “Purchased Licenses” option. Review the list of parts and quantities and ensure they match what is listed on your Software Certificate If they do not match, then check if you entered the correct Authorization Code. If there is still a discrepancy, then contact [email protected] for assistance. If they match, then click the ‘Confirm’ button to continue. 3. On the RETRIEVE ORDER DETAILS screen, Step 1: enter the Authorization Code from your Software License Certificate, then Step 2: click the ‘Search’ button. Failing to select the correct location will compromise the quality of your installed-base data and may require technical support to correct the mistake. 6. When you have identified the correct company location of your customer, click the ‘Select’ button. 5. On the SELECT CUSTOMER SITE screen, enter a combination of company name and address information and search for the correct company location of your customer. Note that you may need to adjust your search several times to narrow the results to a small enough number to be able to identify the correct company location of your customer.
