- Course Outcomes: Apply non-verbal and soft skills effectively for listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Use correct contextual and comprehensible written text and speech. Demonstrate linguistic confidence through grammar, intonation, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Critically evaluate information as a speaker, writer, and reader.
Syllabus Outline
- Unit A - Grammar: Covers parts of speech (nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, conjunctions, interjections). Focuses on various tenses (simple present, simple past, simple future, present continuous, past continuous, future continuous, present perfect, past perfect, future perfect).
- Unit B - Communication: Introduces communication, its significance, and factors. Covers perspectives of communication (meaning, language, visual perception, feelings, experiences). Details verbal and nonverbal communication.
