- Officially known as the “IRR,” these rules aim to safeguard life, health, property, and public welfare, upholding sound environmental management.
- The IRR covers architectural, civil/structural, electrical, mechanical, sanitary, plumbing, and electronics disciplines. It applies to all buildings and structures (except traditional indigenous dwellings and those covered by Batas Pambansa Bilang 220).
- The IRR details procedures for remitting funds, including reporting of collections and deposits with specified timelines and distribution of reports to different offices.
- The document includes sections on violation classifications (Light, Less Grave, Grave) and corresponding fines (₱5,000, ₱8,000, and ₱10,000 respectively). Surcharges are also specified for various construction-related infractions, ranging from 10% to 100% of building permit fees depending on the stage of construction when violations occur. Failure to pay annual inspection fees incurs a 25% surcharge.
