- MDI (ages 4-12): 2 puffs every 4-6 hours; acute cases allow for 2-4 puffs every 20 minutes for three doses, followed by 2-4 puffs every 1-4 hours as needed
- Nebulizer (ages 6-11): 0.31 mg three times a day; acute cases use 0.075 mg/kg (minimum 1.25 mg) every 20 minutes for three doses, followed by 0.075-0.15 mg/kg (maximum 5 mg) every 1-4 hours as needed
