- To sleep in a bed, the player must be within close proximity to the bed and look at it.
- Sleeping in a bed will cause the player to sleep for 101 in-game ticks.
- A player can't sleep if they're on fire, poisoned, or starving.
- If all requirements are met, phantoms can spawn.
- When a player falls asleep, the time of day changes to sunrise and the weather cycle is reset.
- In Bedrock Edition, the sleeping animation lowers the player into bed.
- Sleeping does not accelerate processes that take place over time.
- If /gamerule doDaylightCycle is false, the player instead wakes up in the night.
- To skip the night in multiplayer, all players in the Overworld must be in bed at the same time.
- Villagers are unable to skip the night by sleeping in beds, unlike players.
