Study Notes

  • To sleep in a bed, the player must be within close proximity to the bed and look at it.
  • Sleeping in a bed will cause the player to sleep for 101 in-game ticks.
  • A player can't sleep if they're on fire, poisoned, or starving.
  • If all requirements are met, phantoms can spawn.
  • When a player falls asleep, the time of day changes to sunrise and the weather cycle is reset.
  • In Bedrock Edition, the sleeping animation lowers the player into bed.
  • Sleeping does not accelerate processes that take place over time.
