Chapter 16 Warehouse Monitor

• The warehouse monitor can be warehouse dependent. If a monitor is defined as warehouse dependent, it applies only to that specific warehouse.

Default Values

• Warehouse Number, Monitor, and Refresh Time are default values in the warehouse monitor.
• Refresh Time automatically refreshes the monitor nodes at a defined interval.
• Warehouse Number and Monitor are mandatory to view reports for a specific warehouse.
• Other optional fields include Node Refresh (Mins), Demo Mode, and Demo Data Set.

Demo Mode

• The warehouse monitor defaults to Productive Mode unless otherwise specified.
• Demo Data mode uses demo data instead of real-time data.
• Inbound and outbound demo data should be in separate sets to avoid conflicts.
• The Productive Mode node provides all available information.

Accessing the Warehouse Monitor

• Access the warehouse monitor via Transaction /SCWM/MON.
• It can also be accessed via SAP Easy Access: Logistics -> SCM Extended Warehouse Management -> Extended Warehouse Management -> Monitoring -> Warehouse Management Monitor.

Easy Graphics Framework

• Access the EGF via Transaction /SCWM/EGF.
• It can also be accessed via SAP Easy Access: Logistics -> SCM Extended Warehouse Management -> Extended Warehouse Management -> Monitoring -> Warehouse Cockpit -> /SCWM/EGF - Warehouse Cockpit.

More Methods Dropdown

• The More Methods dropdown allows you to execute or perform operations on selected objects.
• These options are available on both parent and child data screens.
• Actions include confirming warehouse tasks, activating physical inventory documents, performing ad hoc moves, and changing stock type.

Warehouse Cockpit

• The warehouse cockpit monitors warehouse activities graphically using key figures defined in the EGF.
• It supports analytical functions for warehouse management.
• The EGF is used to define the warehouse cockpit.
• Warehouse data is graphically represented using charts like traffic lights, column charts, or circle charts.

Warehouse KPIs

• Warehouse KPIs provide detailed information for workforce planning and monitoring daily receiving and shipping activities.
• Increased visibility via KPIs helps optimize warehouse processes.
• Examples of available warehouse KPIs in EWM include:
  • ODO Items Without GI by Planned GI Time
  • ODO Items Without Pick WT by Planned GI Time
  • Open WT by Warehouse Process Type
  • Open WT by Activity Area

Navigation

• Navigation in the warehouse monitor allows access to associated objects.
• Associated objects include deliveries, material documents, source/destination bins, and products.
• Quick access to these objects helps warehouse managers check details and resolve bottlenecks.

Stock Determination Tools

• The warehouse monitor and RF framework can be used to determine stock in a storage bin.
• The warehouse monitor provides a detailed view of stock, including available/physical stock and incoming/outgoing stock for interim storage bins.

Monitoring Capabilities

• The warehouse monitor is a central solution for monitoring warehouse operations and identifying issues.
• It provides a quick view of workload, including inbound/outbound deliveries, warehouse orders/tasks, stock overview, and details of incoming/outgoing stock per product.

Activities

• The warehouse monitor provides a view of workload, stock status, and can supervise the material flow system (MFS).
• It also helps manage resources and monitor workload by queues.
• Controls such as blocking bins for stock removal/putaway can be performed via the monitor.

Measurement Service Types

• Three measurement service types exist:
  • Basic Measurement Services (BMS)
  • Calculated Measurement Services
