Voter Registration in Michigan

Eligibility:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a resident of Michigan
Registration methods:
- Online registration through the Michigan Secretary of State's website
- Mail-in registration using a voter registration application
- In-person registration at a Secretary of State branch office, county clerk's office, or local clerk's office
Required documents:
- Michigan driver's license or state ID
- Proof of citizenship (e.g. birth certificate, passport)
Registration deadlines:
- Online and mail-in registrations: 15 days before an election
- In-person registrations: up to 8pm on election day

Application process:
- Submit an absentee ballot application online, by mail, or in person
- Applications can be submitted up to 75 days before an election
Deadlines:
- Applications must be received by 5pm the Friday before an election
- Completed absentee ballots must be returned by 8pm on election day
