Volleyball Terminology
- Antenna: A flexible rod
- Rally: A sequence of play
- Referee: Determines the rotational direction of the ball
- Service: Putting the ball into play
- Net: A place vertically over the center line
- Ist Referee: Authorized players to play barefoot
- Assistant Coach: Cannot interfere with the game
Volleyball Rules
- A match is won by the team that wins 3 sets
- The ball has a circumference of 65-67 cm

- Blocking: Intercepting the ball

Game Play

Playing Court
- The court is a rectangle measuring 18x9 m
- Boundary line: Two side lines and two end lines
- Centre line: Divides the playing court into two halves, each measuring 9x9 m
- Attack line: The rear edge is drawn 3m back from the axis of the centre line
- Front zone: Limited by the axis of the centre line and the rear edge of the attack line
- Service zone: A 9m wide area behind the end line, extending to the end of the free zone
- Substitution zone: Limited by the extension of both attack lines up to the scorer's table
Refereeing
- Refereeing involves ensuring fair play and applying the rules consistently
- Referees signal the start and end of rallies, enforce infractions, and manage challenges or protests from teams
Scoring System
- The scoring system uses a Rally Point System
- The team that wins a rally scores a point
- When the receiving team wins a rally, they gain a point and the right to serve
- Players rotate one position clockwise
- Matches typically consist of five sets, with the first four sets won by reaching 25 points with a two-point margin
Rules of Play
- The team wins a rally by sending the ball over the net without touching the ground
