The Queen's Jealousy

  • The Queen's envy grew, and she hated Snow-white, ordering a huntsman to take the child away and kill her, bringing back her heart as a token.
  • The huntsman, pitying Snow-white, spared her life and told her to run away into the wild wood.

Snow-white's Escape

  • Snow-white, afraid and alone, ran through the wood, encountering wild beasts that did not harm her.
  • She came upon a little cottage, where she found seven little plates, seven little knives and forks, and seven little mugs.

The Cottage

  • The cottage was small, neat, and clean, with seven little beds side by side, covered with snow-white coverlets.
