Study Notes

Launching Photo Story 3.1

  • Launch Photo Story 3.1 and begin a new story
  • Click the Next button on the Welcome page

Importing Pictures

  • Click the Import Pictures button on the Import and arrange your pictures page
  • Select the folder where your pictures are located in the File Browser dialog box
  • Click on the All Files tab to select one or more pictures
  • Click the OK button to import the selected pictures

Removing Black Borders

  • If Photo Story detects smaller pictures, the Remove black borders button will become available
  • Click the Remove black borders button to automatically crop the pictures

Ordering Pictures

  • Select a picture in the film strip by clicking on it
  • Use the Move Forward and Move Back arrow buttons to move the picture to the left or right

Editing Pictures

  • Select a picture on the film strip and click on the desired editing button at the bottom of the preview area
  • Editing options include:
  • Correcting color levels
  • Correcting red eye
  • Correcting contrast
  • Rotating the picture clockwise or counterclockwise
  • Manual cropping of the picture
  • Adding effects to change the appearance of the picture
  • Click the Edit button to access additional editing tools

Rotating a Picture

  • Select the picture you want to rotate, then click the Edit button

Cropping a Picture

  • Move the whole rectangle to the desired area of the picture by dragging the center
  • Click the Save button when done

Auto Fixing a Picture

  • Select the picture where you want to apply an auto fix
  • On the Auto Fix tab, click on the On or Off button to see how it changes your picture
  • Click the Save button when done

Adding Effects on Pictures

  • Select the picture where you want to add an effect
  • Click on the Add Effect tab and select the desired effect from the drop-down list
  • Click on the effect you want to apply to your picture
