- The society was founded by Prof. Priscilla Supnet-Macansantos, Prof. Reynaldo Rimando, and Ma’am Teresita Natividad.
- It was founded to promote advancement and utility in Mathematics and Physics and provide a medium for Math & Physics majors to cultivate interest in these fields.
Logo
- The society's logo has 8 elements embodying the principles, mission, vision, and identity of the Society, created in 1977 by Mr. Arnulfo Aquino.
- A triangular three-dimensional image symbolizes the three founders.
- An infinity lace represents the unlimited applications of Math & Physics in the real world and includes MCMLXXV (1975).
- The positive, negative, and nil signs classify applications as beneficial (transportation & forecasting), destructive (nuclear weapons), and neutral (video games & telecommunications).
- 75 ln (natural logarithmic) signs signify the year the society was founded.
- A black hole and shadow represent the mysterious future that Math & Physics may bring, especially to society members.
- The hourglass symbolizes the limitation society members face, especially regarding time spent in college.

- The Marketing Committee handles budgeting during events and spearheads marketing events like NMPPEC and Food Sales.
