Improved process is one that has been carefully reviewed and refined to operate more effectively, efficiently, and reliably, ultimately leading to better outcomes and performance. For example, a restaurant is usually crowded with customers and it creates a long que with people who wants to be seated. In order to improve that, the restaurant implements an online ordering system where the customers can order ahead eliminating food waiting time and reducing que time.

Institutionalized processes are like the backbone of an organization, providing a structured way to do work, keep track of progress, and make things better over time.
