Clockwork 16-21

Prince Otto and his son Florian were on a hunting trip and were supposed to return after a week. However, two nights later, the palace guards saw a commotion and heard horses approaching the palace in panic. It turned out to be Prince Otto driving the royal sledge, with Florian safe and asleep in the back. Prince Otto's right hand was still moving and lashing the whip uncontrollably.

The Royal Physician discovered the strange phenomenon with Prince Otto's body. He noticed a gash on Prince Otto's chest, crudely sewn up with a dozen stitches. When he opened the wound, he found a little piece of clockwork instead of a heart.

The clockwork in Prince Otto's body controlled the movement of his right arm. It was attached to his veins and ticked in perfect time with the lashing of his arm.
