Ayurveda and the Doshas
- Ayurvedic medicine asserts the world is composed of five elements: space, water, earth, fire, and air.
- These elements combine to form three humors or doshas: vata, kapha, and pitta.
- Doshas are thought to influence a person's physical, mental, and emotional health
- Each individual possesses a unique ratio of these doshas
- Your unique ratio of vata, kapha, and pitta is called your Ayurvedic constitution.
