  4. Nervous tissue: This tissue transmits information throughout the body by means of nerve cells (neurons) and neuroglia (supporting cells).

Tissue Organization

The arrangement of cells in tissues is crucial to their functions. Tissues can be organized in three different ways:

  1. Simple tissues have one type of cell. Examples include epithelial and connective tissues.
