Bullying Definition
- Bullying is unwanted aggressive behavior, usually recurrent, that makes the target uncomfortable
- Common reasons for bullying include weight, gender, and disability
- Two typical bully types exist: the popular bully who uses bullying to maintain social status and the less popular bully who may struggle with self-esteem issues
- Both types are easily frustrated or aggressive and may have issues at home, problems with authority, and view violence positively
Bullying Categories
- Direct Bullying: obvious physical or verbal aggression, more common in boys
- Indirect Bullying: more discreet and primarily verbal, often involves rumors, more common in girls
- Cyberbullying: bullying through digital devices such as phones, tablets, or computers, often coupled with other forms and difficult to monitor
Bullying Actions
