UNAJ Regulations for Degrees and Titles

General Information

• The document is the "Reglamento General de Grados y Títulos de Pregrado" (General Regulations for Undergraduate Degrees and Titles) for the Universidad Nacional de Juliaca (UNAJ).

Title I: General Provisions

Article 4: Definitions

• Certificate of studies: A document certifying studies carried out at UNAJ.
• Diploma: A document certifying an academic degree or professional title. Issued in Spanish.
• Graduate: A student who has completed their study plan, pre-professional practices, and social projection activities.
• Academic Degree: Official acknowledgement of educational attainment or professional qualification
• Professional Title: Recognition obtained after passing a thesis or professional sufficiency exam. Requires having a bachelor's degree.
• National Registry of Degrees and Titles: An information tool recording academic degrees and professional titles awarded by universities.

Title II: Degrees and Titles

• Article 5: Academic degrees and professional titles are granted by UNAJ in the name of the Nation
• Article 6: Inscribing academic degrees and professional titles is mandatory
• Article 7: Receiving an academic degree of Bachiller requires pre-graduate studies, research, professional practices
• Article 8: Professional Title requires bachiller degree, and thesis approval
• Article 9: Academic degrees ratified by Faculty and Organization Council
• Article 10: Bachiller Diplomas are signed by the President and Secretary

Content of Diplomas

• Article 11 and 12 outline the content required on the diplomas, including the republic, shield, name etc.
• Article 13: National University of Juliaca awards the Academic Degree of Bachelor to graduates of the Professional Schools, for example the faculty of engineering grants degree in environmental, and software etc.
• Article 4 grants access based on Law No. 31803 modifying Law No. 30220, to promote the research
• Article 15 are the conditions to opt for the Academic Degree of Bachiller, including credits and research
• Article 16: Applicants required to present documentation to the UNAJ
• Article 17: Documents goes to organization unit and Faculty
• Article 18: Information include studies, credits, modalidad, language.
• Article 19: Faculty approves Bachelors
• Article 20: General Secretary approves

Academic Degrees

• Article 21. The General Secretary expedites the diploma
• Article 22. The General Secretary requests diploma regristration
• Article 23. The National University of Juliaca will then confer profession title.

Professional Qualifications

• Article 24. Conditions include habing an academic degree
• Article 25. The bachilles can then opt for graduation
• Article 26. The bachilleers must present documentations

• Article 28. The Unidad Funcional is then responsible..
