Illegal Working Offences

Illegal working constitutes an offense if a person (P):
- Works while disqualified due to immigration status.
- Knows or reasonably believes they are disqualified.
- Disqualification occurs if:
- No leave to enter or remain in the UK.
- Leave is invalid, ceased, revoked, or subject to work restrictions.

Penalties for illegal working offenses:
- Summary conviction: Up to 51 weeks imprisonment (or 6 months in some cases before 2003) or a fine (England and Wales).

Newborn Infant Acquisition of British Citizenship
