Windows Interface
- The computer desktop is the main screen display, where windows and programs run.
- The desktop typically contains a background (wallpaper), icons, taskbar, and a start menu.
System Properties
- Includes information about the operating system type (e.g., Windows 10).
- Displays the type and speed of the processor (CPU).
- Shows the size of random access memory (RAM).
- Access System Properties by double clicking This PC > Computer tab > System Group > System Properties.
Folder and File Management
- Creating folders: Double click on This PC, choose Local disk F, Right click on empty space, New > Folder > Name it (e.g., "PUA").
- Create a folder to store files, for example, a folder named "Computer Skills."
- Create word files and excel files: Double click on the folder, right click on empty space, New > File, name it (e.g., "Lecture 1").
File Extensions
