- Diagonal communication: occurs between team members of different departments

Communication Models
- Aristotle Model: focused on speaker and speech, with five primary elements: Speaker, Speech, Occasion, Audience, and Effect
- Laswell's Model: describes verbal communication with five elements: Who, says what, in which channel, to whom, with what effect?
- Shannon-Weaver's Model: includes sender, encoder, channel, decoder, receiver, and feedback, with the concept of noise
