Types of Body Tissues

Epithelial tissue lines the interior and exterior body surfaces. An example of it in the body is the skin.

Connective tissue provides support for the body and connects its parts. An example of its component is collagen, a tough fiberlike protein.

Nerve impulses are transmitted throughout the body by nervous tissue. Neurons are cells that carry these impulses.
