Transition Finance
- The objective is to establish a scope and definition for transition finance and provide policy and regulatory recommendations.
- The world requires a staggering USD 125 trillion in climate investments by 2050 to achieve net-zero emissions.
- India needs over USD 10 trillion by 2070 to meet its climate goals and net-zero commitments.
Green Finance in India
- Domestic sources accounted for 87% and 83% of green finance in India in fiscal years 2019 and 2020, respectively.
- International sources are increasing but still insufficient to meet India's net-zero target.
AMRUT 2.0
- AMRUT 2.0 aims to pioneer sustainable urban infrastructure.
- Key achievements:
- Total projects: 8200
- Total project cost: ₹182,583.07 Crores
- Sector-wise breakdown:
- Water Supply: 3530 projects, ₹112,530.1 Crores
- Sewerage and Septage Management: 562 projects, ₹63,790.57 Crores

PMAY-U
- Key highlights:
- 114 Lakh houses have been grounded for construction, and over 84 Lakh houses have already been completed and delivered to beneficiaries.
- ₹1.64 lakh crore has been released out of the committed Central Assistance of ₹2 lakh crore.
- MIG was added to the government housing scheme through the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) vertical from 2017-2021.
- An Interest subsidy of ₹58,868 crore has been approved for 25.04 lakh beneficiaries.
- Over 94 lakh houses have been provided under the name of women, giving them an identity of their own.
- 323 Lakh jobs have been created, with 100 Lakh direct and 223 Lakh indirect jobs.
- Construction activity under the Mission would have consumed approximately 55.7 million MT of cement and 12.6 million MT of Steel.
Smart Cities Mission
- Aims to enhance the quality of life in 100 cities through over 8,000 innovative projects worth approximately ₹1.6 lakh crore.
- As of 25 June 2024, 7,160 projects worth ₹1,43,778 Crore had been completed, and another 854 projects worth ₹20,392 crore are in advanced stages of completion.
- The Government of India has released ₹46,387 crore to 100 cities, with 93% of released funds utilized.
